ORCA LIFT Updates First Friday Forum: 4/7/2017

ORCA LIFT Enrollment #’s Nearly 44, 000 people have been enrolled in ORCA LIFT March trips on Metro services totaled 482, 024 an increased of 65, 545 trips over March of 2016 Sound Transit had 134, 811 trips taken. This is a 41% increase on ridership over March of 2016 due to the opening of the UW, Capitol and Angle Lake stations. There were 1 during March of 2017.

ORCA LIFT Renewal

ORCA LIFT Renewals Registry has been updated to allow for ORCA LIFT renewals. You can now assign a new card in the system and still keep the same LIFT ID. Reminder that we have close to 15, 000 people coming up for renewals in April/May – so we are allowing anyone with a LIFT card expiring 6/30/2017 to renew now if they like. On-line renewal option is now available at http: //kingcounty. gov/depts/transportation/metro/fares-orca/orcacards/lift. aspx A new Lift card will be mailed to the customer. People can now renew at an ORCA LIFT verification site and receive a new Lift card on the spot.

How are Customers Notified? Customer with email on file are notified by email Customers are also sent a postcards to check on the expiration date on the back of their Lift card. They are given options to renew in person at a verification site or online. Online customers will be mailed a new card.

What about the Old LIFT Card? Customers keep their old Lift card and continue to use it for the remainder of the month. Customer can transfer any funds on the old card to their new card online, by phone, at a Walk-in Center or at an ORCA-To-Go event. If a customer needs additional help direct them to Metro at call 206 -553 -5000
