WINs Programs Certified Logistics Technician Pathway Material Handling Video · 80 hours of training over 3 weeks · Earn nationally recognized Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) credentials · Scheduled MANDATORY classroom time Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 1: 30 pm at CWI - Missing required days may result in dismissal from training · Program incorporates online learning at your own pace · Modules on: the global supply chain, the logistics environment, safety, material handling equipment, quality control, receiving, storage, dispatch and tracking · Prepares individuals for front line material handling and distribution positions across the supply chain—factory, warehousing, distribution and transportation · Includes Digital Literacy Assessment, Training & Completion Award There are no costs to students associated with this pathway Minimum Work. WINS Program Certified Welding Pathway Material Handling Video · 160 hours of training over 4 weeks / 80% in shop · Upon successful completion will be an AWS Certified Welder Level 1 · Scheduled MANDATORY classroom time Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3: 30 pm at Union Training Facility on Valcour (8300 Valcour, St Louis, 63123) - Missing required days may result in not receiving credentials or dismissal from training · Program incorporates classroom and hands-on training and requires wearing safety equipment at all times! You will be in the shop 80% of the day · Modules on: Health & Safety; Welding in Construction and manufacturing; Stick Welding; Thermal Cutting; Oxy-Acetylene Cutting (OAC), Plasma Cutting (PAC), and Carbon Arc Cutting-Air (CAC-A) · Prepares individuals entry level welding work as an AWS Certified Welder Level 1 · Does NOT guarantee a position / eligibility or an interview with the union or union employer NOTE: Hard-soled work boots, long pants, and a long or elbow length short-sleeved shirt. OKg 4 · 17 credit hour accelerated training program over 16 weeks, Mon – Fri each day for entire 16 weeks · Earn nationally recognized National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) credentials · Coursework includes: blueprint reading, safety, measurement, bench-work, manual milling and turning, grinding and CNC set up and operations · Classes / Training will be Monday through Thursday, 8 am – 3: 30 pm; Fridays 8: 00 am – Noon @ Flo Valley - Attendance impacts grades; tardiness and absences may result in dismissal from program · Program incorporates on-line learning at your own pace · Includes Digital Literacy Assessment, Training, and Completion Award · Includes lab hours for additional skill building on the machines with an instructor (Friday’s) · Prepares individuals for employment in the metalworking industry as a machinist or CNC operator NOTE: Steel toed shoes are required for this program. Career Ready 101 (CR 101) Career Ready 101 – Quick Guide Assessment This assessment will ask you 4 questions in each of the following subjects: • Reading for Information - the skill used in reading materials to gather information, follow procedures and perform job tasks. • Applied Math - the skill people use to solve work-related problems by applying basic math reasoning and operations. • Locating Information - the skill used in working with information found in workplace graphics (charts, forms, maps, etc. ). This assessment will give you a quick estimate that tells you if you are ready to take the Work. Keys assessment. The Work.
