Provides students the opportunity to better themselves as well as the community. Allows faculty to expand their students’ knowledge through real world experience.

Key Messages - Media The Marist College Center for Civic Engagement and Leadership: A recent addition to the campus that aims to better the community by combining eager students with local nonprofits. Will link with local nonprofits and charities to help educate students on the community’s needs and issues while serving the community as a whole. Will engage Marist College students and faculty with members of the local community from different backgrounds to connect in the goal of preserving the history and legacy of the area.

Key Messages - Donors The Marist College Center for Civic Engagement and Leadership: ○ Aims to capture the essence of Marist College’s mission statement by developing the civic engagement leaders of tomorrow through scholarships and teachings for students, as well as for faculty members. ○ Is a source of enriched and diverse engagement for the participating members to connect with the local community, where engagement will initiate the flourishing of the community through various service programs. ○ Long-term goal is to implement civic engagement practices in the curriculum of Marist students across all areas of study.
