I‐ 435 SOUTH LOOP LINK S P R I N G 2 01 9 – SU M ME R Design Build Project: I‐ 435 has become one the highest traffic volume of any Mo. DOT facility in Kansas City and one of the highest in traffic volume in the metropolitan area. Primary purpose is to maximize the safety and mobility along the I‐ 435 corridor from the Three Trails Crossing to the State Line Minimize future maintenance needs. 2020

SUNRISE DECK POUR ON 104 TH STREET BRIDGE Design Build Project: Replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes Rehabilitate the bridges at 104 th Street and the Blue River Upgrade the pavement on I‐ 435 which includes adding another lane. Crews are back into full swing of paving work Daily lane drops during off‐ peak and evening hours for concrete work

I‐ 35 & MO ROUTE 152 – “DISPLACED LEFT” INTERCHANGE S P R I N G 2 01 9 – FA L L 2020 • • Corridor improvements along MO‐ 152/Kansas Street Intersection improvement Roadway widening – additional lanes Turn lane additions Improve safety Decrease travel times 10’ Multiple‐use path (bicycle and pedestrian) along the south side 5’ Sidewalk along the north side

I‐ 35 & MO ROUTE 152 Compared to the traditional diamond in the peak hour, this geometry results in: • 1, 500 more vehicles served • 30% less travel time • 45% less delay

I‐ 70 & I‐ 435 PARTIAL TURBINE M AR. 2 019 – DE C. 2020 • • • Replacing the bridges within the I‐ 435 and I‐ 70 Interchange. This new configuration will be a partial turbine design. Improvements include: • full bridge replacements • removal of left exits • improvements to loop ramp configuration • congestion relief.

• • I‐ 470 PAVING PROJECT 13‐mile paving project along I‐ 470 from Raytown Road to 39 th Street Mainly nighttime operations. Committed to one lane open at all times and working hours are 7 p. m. to 6 a. m. Also resurface the entrance and exit ramps at Raytown Road, View High Drive, the Route 50 and Route 350 loop ramps, Douglas Street, Colbern Road, Woods Chapel Road, Lakewood Blvd. /Bowlin Road, Route 40 and the I‐ 70 ramps

I‐ 70 PAVING IN THE DISTRICT Jackson County • Pavement resurfacing from Manchester Trafficway to I‐ 470. • Night time operation • Expect various lane and ramp closures. Lafayette County • Paving operation along I‐ 70 through Lafayette County from Johnson Drive in Odessa to Route 13 • Began in March • Daytime, off‐peak operation • Eastbound paving is restricted to 7 a. m. to 2 p. m. and westbound is restricted to 9 a. m. to 6 p. m.

BUCK 0’NEIL BRIDGE ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY Jackson County • This bridge underwent a short term rehabilitation last year • Mo. DOT, City of Kansas City and FHWA is currently doing a Environmental Study‐ different options for improvements and potential impacts to community • Potential Design Build in future • Funding‐ to be determined

TOTAL PAVING AND DECK SCHEDULED FOR 2019 • 253 lane miles of roadway paved in rural areas • 421 lane miles of roadway paved in urban areas • 500, 085 square feet of bridge deck poured

FUTURE PROJECTS • Improving US Highway 50 from Route AA to Route Z/W • Improve Safety. Add turn lanes and J turns. Let in April. Construction in 2019

FUTURE PROJECTS • Route 24: Bridge replacement over Truman Library Drive • Full bridge replacement. Let in May. Construction in 2019

FUTURE PROJECTS • I-435: Bridge deck replacement at the Missouri River • Rehabilitate twin bridges. Let in May. Construction in 2019
