Jesus is The Alpha and Omega • Revelation 1: 8 on page 1913 • 8“I am the Alpha and the Omega, ” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. ” • Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and Omega is the last letter, so they represent the beginning and the end.

Jesus is our Beginning and End • Jesus is the beginning and end of our week. • We meet on the first day of the week, as first importance, as a pledge to offer God the week to work with and through. • He is first in everything and in the end our eternity is based on our relationship with him. • As this is also the end of the year, we can think of how primary meeting together has

First fruits • Jesus is the beginning and end of our week, our year, and our lives. As we prepare to collect the offering today, we can think of God’s call for us to put God first in our lives by bringing him first fruits. • Because God is first in our commitments, he is first in our finances. • To show their trust in God as their provider they gave first fruits and that mentality should be evident in our offering as well.

The Beginning and End • What have we been doing and why these series? • Most of the year has been a focus on Jesus with a final series about the call to be partners in the gospel.

Through the Year…

Know God and Make Him Known • We will begin this year with a series about how well God knows us from Chronicles. • Seeing God differently by examining some of the names of God mentioned through scripture.

Revelation 21: 5 -7 on page 1937 • 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. ” • 6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

Jesus Stands Ready To Come • A part of our prayer is to be asking Him to “Come, Lord Jesus” because of his grace that he offers freely to those who thirst for him.

Final Thought: • If God gives us the days: we look forward to serving Christ, congregation, community, and internationally in His name as we thirst for him and seek the thirsty ones around us. • Amen! • Whose eternity will be changed through you?
