When adding or subtracting fractions with the same denominator, you just need to change

When adding or subtracting fractions with the same denominator, you just need to change the numerators. That is because the WHOLE has not changed. The whole has been split in to 10 pieces. So your answer will still be 10. You are not changing the amount of pieces the whole has been divided into. You are changing the numerator. 4+5=9 So the answer is 9/10
