What is ISO? ISO 22000? What is ISO? ISO is the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). What is a standard? A standard is a document that provides requirements, specifications, or guidelines that can be used for consistency to ensure that products, processes and services are fit for their purpose. What is ISO 22000? It is a Food Safety Management System (FSMS) standard that uses a management systems approach (ISO 9000) as well as a HACCP process. What is the goal of ISO 22000? It is to provide an internationally recognized standard for a food safety management system that can be applied to any organization in the food chain (including food service). DR.
