How it’s scored. n n Fluency and Coherence – Did the candidate answer the question? Did ideas connect and flow? Lexical resource – How well was vocabulary used or navigated? Grammatical range – Were proper verb tenses used, and was there a nice variety of simple and complex sentences? Pronunciation – Could the speaker’s accent be understood? Did they speak clearly enough?
