Possessive ‘s • We use ‘’s’ to show something belongs to someone. e. g. What is your father’s job? the job your father has What is your mother’s job? the job your mother has • It is different from the short form of ‘is’.
Third person singular • We add ‘-s’ or ‘-es’ after action words when we use ‘he’ or ‘she’. • We add ‘-s’ to most action words. e. g. I put serve look drive help He / She puts serves looks drives helps
Third person singular • We add ‘-es’ to action words ending with ‘ch’. e. g. I catch teach He / She catches teaches
