Overview 2 The Ankara Scene Online is the community newsletter of the U. S. Embassy, Ankara. Whether you are new to post, a prospective bidder, or an Ankara veteran, this site has information and resources that may be useful to you. We hope the following tutorial will help you navigate the site with ease.

Member Registration 4 1. 2. 1. Copy and paste the link included in the weekly “Ankara Scene Online- What’s New This Week” email into Google Chrome. Or simply type it into your browser. 2. Without logging in, the Home page is the only page you can access. To see other pages, you can click ‘LOG IN/REGISTER’ at the end of the menu, or on any page link. The ‘Log In/Register’ box will come up. 3. Select ‘Register’ to make your account. Once you fill out the information, click ‘Register’. You will receive an email when your registration has been approved. Use your PERSONAL EMAIL ADDRESS for registration. 4. If you already have an account, type in your email and password, and log in! 3. 4.

The Home Page 5 1. The site menu runs across the top of the page. Click on a heading to go to that page. 2. The ‘What’s New This Week? ’ section gives a taste of the updated content on the website, including CLO News, Community News, and new page announcements. Clicking on the links will take you directly to those pages. 3. Scrolling further down the page will bring you to a list of links to other pages on the site. These can also be accessed using the menu at the top of the page. 1. 2. 3.

CLO News 6 2. 1. 3. The CLO News page contains updates from CLO in a Blog format. 1. Many posts are added each week. Scroll down to see earlier posts! 2. The side bar contains valuable information such as Categories, Essential Numbers, and Emergency Contacts. 3. Categories can be used to search for postings in a specific subject area.

Community News 7 2. 3. 1. The Community News page is a space for articles, photos, reviews, recommendations, and artwork created by the mission community 1. Like the CLO page, all posts are sorted into categories and archived by date. 2. Important information like the fuel chip prices, places of worship, and essential numbers can be found on the side bar. 3. To submit content to the Community News page, click the Submit Here button and fill out the form.

Calendar 8 � The CLO Calendar has all the events for the month listed with the event times. � Clicking on the blue text will open a flyer for the event. � More information about the events can be found on the CLO News page.

Ankara Life 9 � The Ankara Life page has information you can use as a starting point for planning your everyday or a long weekend away. � It is organized into sections with links to other websites with more information.

Pre-Arrival/Departure 10 � This page has tons of information for new arrivals and those who are departing. � Click ‘Download File’ to download the files.

Classifieds 11 � Under ‘Classifieds’, there are three pages: Job Listings, Services, and For Sale. Job Listings contains listings for jobs outside the embassy. Open positions within the embassy can be found on the HR page. Services contains recommendations for nannies and housekeepers, and miscellaneous services. ‘For Sale’ contains a list of vehicles and household goods that are currently for sale. � Use the submission buttons (highlighted by the red rectangles) to submit any job opportunities, services, and items for sale you may have.

How to Submit to the Ankara Scene 12 � On multiple pages of the Ankara Scene Online, there is a blue submission button. Clicking on this button will take you to a submission form. � The following slides are sample submissions of three of the form types. � Submissions are due COB Tuesdays. � CLO welcomes submissions to the Ankara Scene Online!
