Important Information (cont’d) No HSA fund is considered a complete health savings program and there is no guarantee any single fund will provide sufficient healthcare savings at or through retirement. Investment performance of the Fidelity target date products and asset allocation strategies depends on the performance of the underlying investment options and on the proportion of the assets invested in each underlying investment option. The performance of the underlying investment options depends, in turn, on their investments. In general the bond market is volatile and fixed income securities carry interest rate risk. (As interest rates rise, bond prices usually fall, and vice versa. This effect is usually more pronounced for longer-term securities. ) Fixed income securities also carry inflation, credit, and default risks for both issuers and counterparties. Unlike individual bonds, most bond funds do not have a maturity date, so holding them until maturity to avoid losses caused by price volatility is not possible. • Stock markets, especially foreign markets, are volatile and can decline significantly in response to adverse issuer, political, regulatory, market, or economic developments. Fixed income investments entail interest rate risk (as interest rates rise, bond prices usually fall), the risk of issuer default, issuer credit risk, and inflation risk. Foreign securities are subject to interest rate, currency exchange rate, economic, and political risks. Changes in real estate values or economic downturns can have a significant negative effect on issuers in the real estate industry. Lower-quality bonds can be more volatile and have greater risk of default than higher-quality bonds. Value stocks can perform differently than other types of stocks and can continue to be undervalued by the market for long periods of time. • The fund can invest in securities that may have a leveraging effect (such as derivatives and forward-settling securities) that may increase market exposure, magnify investment risks, and cause losses to be realized more quickly. Floating-rate debt generally is subject to restrictions on resale and sometimes trades infrequently in the secondary market; as a result it may be more difficult to value, buy, or sell. Floating-rate debt may not be fully collateralized and therefore may decline significantly in value. Commodity-linked investments may be more volatile and less liquid than underlying instruments or measures. Their value may be affected by the performance of the overall commodities baskets as well as weather, disease, and regulatory developments. • The pre-tax customized benchmarks shown are composed of blends of indices that represent the broad market asset classes applicable to each model portfolio strategy. Customized benchmarks are not rebalanced on a regular basis to reflect the actual asset weightings of the portfolios in the model. The underlying funds in each model portfolio may not hold all of the component securities included in, or in the same proportion as represented in, its corresponding customized benchmark. Securities indices are unmanaged and are not subject to fees and expenses typically associated with managed accounts or investment funds. Benchmark returns assume the reinvestment of dividends and interest income. Investments cannot be made directly in a broad-based securities index. Fund and index performance may vary somewhat due to factors such as transaction costs, sample selection, and timing differences associated with index additions and deletions.
