INTRODUCTION • In our study of the New Testament church we saw that denominationalism is wrong. • To find the right church and the right way to serve God, we want to do it right. • Everyone has an opinion • But we will see what the Bible pattern of worship involves. • Some go so far as to say there is no pattern found in the Bible that describes our worship of God. • In other words, just do what feels right in your heart.

New Testament Pattern Of Worship • John 8: 24 (NKJV) "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins. " • If you cannot accept this, you will die in your sins. John 8: 32 (NKJV) "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. " • Only the truth can make you free from the burdens of sin.

New Testament Pattern Of Worship • 2 Thessalonians 2: 10 -11 (NKJV) and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. {11} And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, • If you choose to ignore the warnings from God, then you will be allowed to believe your lie that you are living. • 1 Peter 1: 22 (NKJV) Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, • You can only be purified by obedience of the Truth.

" • You must believe. • Luke 13: 3 (NKJV) "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. • Luke 24: 47 (NKJV) "and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. • You must repent.

New Testament Pattern Of Worship • Romans 10: 10 (NKJV) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. • You must confess. • Acts 2: 38 (NKJV) Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. • You must be baptized for the remission of sins.

Galatians 3: 27 (NKJV) For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. • The only entrance into Christ is through baptism.

New Testament Pattern Of Worship • Acts 2: 41 (NKJV) Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. • Acts 2: 47 (NKJV) praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. • The obedient believers were added to the church by God. • Acts 2: 42 (NKJV) And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. • They changed their lives to be in conformity to God's will.

New Testament Pattern Of Worship • 1 Corinthians 12: 18 -27 (NKJV) But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. {19} And if they were all one member, where would the body be? {20} But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. {21} And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you. " {22} No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. {23} And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, {24} but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, {25} that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. {26} And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. {27} Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. • Christians are all members of one spiritual body working together to do God's will.

" • The only right way to worship God-------Spirit and Truth. • 2 Peter 1: 5 -11 (NKJV) But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, {6} to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, {7} to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. {8} For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. {9} For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. {10} Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; {11} for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. • Continue to develop yourselves to be better Christians.

New Testament Pattern Of Worship • 2 Peter 3: 18 (NKJV) but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. • We must all grow and develop. In all things, God is to receive the Glory both now and forever.

Conclusion • Common sense tells us that if we do only what is revealed in the Bible, we will be doing it right in the sight of God. • Any other teaching brings a different doctrine. • God will not accept a different doctrine. • But only the one of the Bible.
