TESTING PROCEDURES • Sit-ups—Students will execute proper sit-ups for one minute while a partner

TESTING PROCEDURES • Sit-ups—Students will execute proper sit-ups for one minute while a partner is holding their feet. • Push-ups—Students will execute proper push-ups until they are tired—no resting!

PRESIDENTIAL FITNESS AWARDS • Presidential Active Lifestyle Award For anyone who meets their daily activity goal 5 days a week, for 6 weeks, as part of the Active Lifestyle program. FITNESS STANDARDS THIRD GRADE: Aerobic Fitness: Exercise continuously for 6 minutes. Abdominal Strength: Execute at least 29 (girls) and 31 (boys) crunches (one minute) Upper Body Strength: Execute at least 5 pushups with good form. Hip Flexibility: Reach 28 centimeters (for girls) or 25 centimeters (for boys) on the sit & reach test. FOURTH GRADE: Aerobic Fitness: Exercise continuously for 8 minutes. Abdominal Strength: Execute at least 30 (girls) and 32 (boys) crunches (one minute) Upper Body Strength: Execute at least 12 pushups with good form. Hip Flexibility: Reach 28 centimeters (for girls) or 25 centimeters (for boys) on the sit & reach test FIFTH GRADE: Aerobic Fitness: Exercise continuously for 10 minutes. Abdominal Strength: Execute at least 30 (girls) and 35 (boys) crunches (one minute Upper Body Strength: Execute at least 15 pushups with good form. Hip Flexibility: Reach 28 centimeters (for girls) or 25 centimeters (for boys) on the sit & reach test.
