Why Use Far. Cry? • Far. Cry is an enterprise-level web content management system built and maintained by Daemon (An internet consulting company based out of Australia). • Open Source (Common Public License 1. 0) • Fully extensible application framework • Commercially supported services model • No limit on number of users or content items • Upgrades are free and simple to deploy

Minimum Requirements • Application Server – Cold. Fusion MX 6. 1 • Database – MSSQL, Oracle, My. SQL, Postgre. SQL – (Support for Oracle is still being finalized in Far. Cry 3. 0) • Far. Cry Files (farcry_core, four. Q, farcry_pliant) – Where to get these files: • Stable build: http: //www. farcrycms. org • Latest files from CVS (instructions on Far. Installation Example • Extract Far. Cry files (C: farcry) • Setup a domain name and webserver (IIS/Apache) • Create a web admin alias (i. e. “farcry”) and point it to “farcry_core/admin”) • Create a blank database and datasource • Create a CF mapping called “farcry” (required) • Suggested Plugins – Friendly URL (requires URL mod rewrite) – image. J • Run Installer (/farcry/install)
