This is this is not a series of talks but rather who we are. It is not finished. It is to be continued. It's not done. It is for us to do. We are not perfect. It is for us to practise. This is what we do. This is who we are. Disciples of our rabbi Jesus.

James 1: 22 NIV: Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. J B Phillips: Don’t I beg you, only hear the message, but put it into practice; otherwise you are merely deluding yourselves.

James 1: 22 -24 The Message Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! Those who hear and don’t act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.

John 8: 31 -32 NIV To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. ”

Four stages of Competence 1. Unconscious incompetence - I don't know that I can't do it! 2. Conscious incompetence - I know I can't do it but I am working on it! 3. Conscious competence - I can do it but it requires a lot of effort! 4. Unconscious competence - I can do it and I can do it easily!

Matthew 22: 36 -40 NIV 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? ” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul an with all your mind. ’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself. ’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. ”

John 13: 34 -35 NIV “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. ”

Galatians 6: 10 NIV … as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

John 3: 16 NIV For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
