Notes on Commands If there is a stem change in the present singular stem (for example: comenzar), the stem stays “changed” in command form. Likewise, if the stem in irregular (for example: salir), the stem also stays “changed” in command form. Some verbs have to change their spelling to maintain the same sound. If using object pronouns, add them to the end of the conjugated command.
