CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 1 -WORKPLACE SUPPORT, APPROVALS AND M&E 1. 1 -WORKPLACE APPROVAL REQUIREMENTS a) Latest Valid Tax Clearance Certificates b) Letter of Good Financial Standing from auditors c) Letter of Good Workman’s Compensation (COIDA) d) Company Registration Documents (CIPC) e) Service Letter of Each Mentor f) OHSA Certificate of Compliance g) Mentors Certified ID Copies & SME Certificates for NQF Qualifications h) Mentors Certified ID Copies & Trade Test Certificates for Trades Related i) Administrators ID Copies 2

CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 1 -WORKPLACE SUPPORT, APPROVALS AND M&E 1. 2 -WORKPLACE ENDORSEMENT PROCESS a) CHIETA receives a Workplace Approval request from other SETA (From Stakeholder). b) CHIETA submits request in writing to the other SETA for verification and authenticity. c) Once verified, workplace endorsement document is completed and signed by Specialist and Manager. d) Workplace Endorsement Letter is generated. e) Executive and CEO sign the Workplace Endorsement Letter. f) Client receives notification and letter is couriered. 3

CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 1 -WORKPLACE SUPPORT, APPROVALS AND M&E 1. 3 - MATTERS TO ADDRESS a) SST’s recruitment & Contracting affecting Approvals and Monitoring's Delays in recruitment and contracting of stakeholder support team by the CHIETA affecting workplace approvals and monitoring visits. b) Workplace Approval Letters from other SETA’s Stakeholders are currently submitting learnership agreement with the workplace approval letters from another SETA. We encourage stakeholders to first submit the workplace approval letters for endorsement. Once the process has been finalised, learnership agreements can be submitted. c) Workplace Approval Applications Gap Closure • Delays by stakeholders in closing the gaps identified during desktop evaluation. • Delays by stakeholders in submitting workplace approval applications for reapprovals. 4

CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 2 -TRADE TEST APPLICATIONS 2. 1 -TRADE TEST APPLICATION PROCESS (Contracted learners) a) Trade Test Application hand delivered to the CHIETA or sent via email etqaqueries@chieta. org. za by Trade Test Centre b) ETQA Administrator will track the applications and submit to the relevant personnel in the Artisan and Development Sub-Unit (Drifter Mnisi) c) Relevant personnel evaluates the trade test applications and provide feedback to the Trade Test Centre. (Gap Closure) d) Approval letter is issued and submitted for second level verification to the Specialist and approval by the manager. e) Signed approval letter submitted to the Trade Test Centre 5

CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 2 -TRADE TEST APPLICATIONS 2. 2 -TRADE TEST APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS a) Completed DHET Trade Test Application b) Certified ID Copy c) Certified Highest Qualifications as per Skills Development Act, 1998 (ACT 97 of 1998), 2014 Trade Test Regulations d) Current Trade Test Centre Accreditation Letter e) Current Assessor Registration Confirmation letter f) Current Moderator Registration Confirmation Letter g) Completed and signed logbook/training schedule h) Service Letters (For NQF qualifications) Turn Around Time: 5 Days 6

CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 3 -TRADE TEST CERTIFICATION REQUESTS 3. 1 -TRADE TEST RECOMMENDATIONS PROCESS a) Trade Test Reports hand delivered to the CHIETA or sent via email etqaqueries@chieta. org. za by Trade Test Centre b) ETQA Administrator will track the applications and submit to the relevant personnel in the Artisan and Development Sub-Unit (Guida Langa) c) Verify the documents in line with the NAMB Recommendation Checklist. d) Generate a Trade Test Pack, Capture on the MIS, Make copies and generate a NAMB Recommendation letter for verification and Approval e) ETQA Manager approval and submission to NAMB (Every Wednesday) Turn Around Time: 7 Days 7
