What Effects Your Attitude Toward Physical Activity • Lack of athletic ability – High skill does not equal high fitness – People who are unskilled can still become physically fit with exercise • Past experience on physical fitness tests – Misunderstanding of what physical fitness is – Lack of preparation for testing – Failing one or more parts • Past experience with youth sports – Pressure to win increases with age – Athletes stop having fun because they feel inferior
