What is Caffeine? • Caffeine is a very common chemical that can be found in many things, such as chocolate, and coffee. • Caffeine itself is a bitter solid white powder, with the melting point of 235°C and boiling point of 173°C. • Caffeine can be found in many things but it affects the body in numerous ways. It may cause rapid heart beats, heat burns, and rise the chances of having oral cancer.

How is it made? • The chemical formula of caffeine is C 8 H 10 N 4 O 2. • More then 60 plants in the world produce caffeine, and many of those are used as coffee, tea, chocolate, and even in coca cola. • In its essential form, caffeine is a white powder, and can be extracted from green coffee beans by soaking the bean in water, then the caffeine seperated from the water.
