In audacity there are many things that you can do to improve or modify

In audacity there are many things that you can do to improve or modify your chosen audio file such as • Change the sample rate • Bass boost • Echo • Fade in • Fade out • Invert • Repeat • reverse

Change the sample rate In audacity you are given 7 main rates to use,

Change the sample rate In audacity you are given 7 main rates to use, 8000 hz, 11025 hz, 16000 hz, 22050 hz, 44100 hz, 48000 hz and 96000 hz. The default rate is 44100 hz. If you decrease the rate then you will find that the audio file slows down and if you increase the rate then it speeds up. Normal 8000 hz 96000 hz

Bass boost When you use bass boost on an audio file it gives it

Bass boost When you use bass boost on an audio file it gives it a ‘surround sound effect’. Normal Bass boost

Echo When you add this effect to an audio file it echos the sound

Echo When you add this effect to an audio file it echos the sound during and after the piece. Normal Echo

Fade in/fade out When you use these effects they change the volume of the

Invert When you invert a file in audacity the audio ‘flips’ upside down. Normal

repeat When you use repeat on an audio file then it duplicates the file
