Who are we? • We are a professional association of independent, freelance interpreters working within the CJS. We represent 200 members who are working as public service interpreters. • APCI RESPONSE call centre, launched in March 2008 Aims • To raise standards and foster good relation between our members and the end users. • Establish regular dialogue between interpreters organisations and government. • Persuade Government to provide statutory regulation of the interpreting profession and protection of the title of Legal Interpreter. 19 May 2016 Mirela Watson #1 nt.
