You may think some of us can walk

He walked on water! "Who do you say that I am? " "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. " (Matthew 16: 17) “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk" (Acts 3: 6)

How Do We Step Out In Faith? 1. Express to God Your Willingness to Take a Step (27 -28) "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid. Lord, if it's you. . . tell me to come to you on the water. " It was FEAR!!

"Lord, I'm ready to step out in faith. I'm ready to do the impossible. I'm ready for a miracle!" "Lord, I'm afraid of what I see in my life, so I'm willing to step out in faith. " Have you been attacked by fear recently? The fear of a marriage falling apart? The fear of your children slipping away? The fear of financial disaster? The fear of failing health?

"Lord, I'm willing to take a step of faith. Tell me what to do. " 2. When You Get The Go-Ahead, GO AHEAD. (28 -29) "Lord, if it's you, " Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water. Come, He [Jesus] said. Then Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

Variation # 1 Sometimes, we don't wait for the "go ahead" from God. Variation # 2 Sometimes we say, "Lord, tell me what to do. " Variation # 3 Sometimes we say, "Lord tell me what to do. " And he says, "Come to me on the water. "

You may be so overwhelmed with the size of your problems and not even know the right thing to do. The storm clouds around you may have made your life so dark that you can't see the light of day. You may be so paralyzed with fear that you have no clue on earth what should be your next step.

"I want to walk in obedience, but I have no idea where to start, and no idea what to do next. " 3. If you start to sink, ask for help. (v. 30) But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"

When you're stepping out in faith, you know better than to depend on yourself. When you're stepping out in faith, you know better than to flirt with sin. When you're stepping out in faith, you know better than to try to coast through life.

(vs. 31 -32) Immediately Jesus reached out his hand caught him. You of little faith, " he said. "Why did you doubt? And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.

Express to God your willingness to step out in faith! When you get the go-ahead, GO! And, after you've taken those first few steps, if you start to sink--and I hope never do… It doesn't mean that you've failed, ask for his help, and He will take your hand walk every step with you.
