History § XXL this is a hip hop magazine in which is produced in the United States of American. It was first published in August 1997 by Townsquare Media. The XXL magazine is mainly based in New York. XXL’s first magazine was released in 1997 and upon the first issue of the magazine was master P and Jay-Z. § Later on, in December 2006 XXL took over another hip-hop producers and DJ magazine called scratch. It later got rebranded as ‘XXL presents Scratch Magazine’. But, Scratch was shut down less than a year later in 2007. § There are more magazines would were launched under the XXL brand including Hip-hop soul, Eye candy, and shade 45.
