Senior Years Philosophy The Senior Years environment in the St. James Assiniboia School Division provides a varied curriculum to meet the needs, interests and abilities of students. The program provides a sound basis for further education or immediate employment.

Westwood Collegiate sits on Treaty One territory, the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Ininew, and Dakota peoples, and homeland of the Métis Nation.

Typical Day

Student Transportation and Bussing Ø Westwood Collegiate is easily accessible by city transit. Ø All Grade 9 – 12 students from Headingly are bussed free of charge. Ø Non-resident and non-catchment area students must provide their own transportation to our school.

Compulsory Courses in Grade 9 Ø English 10 F (2 semesters = 1 credit) Ø Mathematics 10 F Ø Physical Education 10 F Ø Social Studies 10 F Ø Science 10 F

Option Courses in Grade 9 Students should register for a minimum of 3 Grade 9 option courses. Students typically finish with 8 -9 credits at the end of Grade 9, of the 30 credits they are required to graduate from high school.
