Visual Arts Department n Art for Seniors (. 5 credits, grade 12 only, no prerequisite) is a Visual Arts class designed specifically for seniors, who would like to explore and create art using various media. n Studio Art I and II (1. 0 credits each, grades 11, 12) are full year, honors level classes, designed for juniors and/or seniors, who are serious about their art work and interested in developing their art portfolio. n Art History (1. 0 credits, grades 10 -12) is an Advanced Placement class. Students will not be producing their own art work. They will learn to examine and analyze works of art and respond in a meaningful way, both verbally and in writing. College credit may be obtained by passing the national AP Exam administered in May.

Past Band Tours have included Florida, California, Hawaii, Bermuda, Bahamas, Washington

Vocal Music Chorus (1. 0 credits – Grades 9, 10, 11, 12) n All interested students must meet with/sing for Mrs. Silver in order to ensure that they are placed on the correct vocal part. I. G. , Tupac Shakur, P!nk, Lady Gaga, and more *Non performance class

Theatre Department n n Acting III Children’s Theatre

Theatre Department n. Acting I, III (1. 0 credits each, gr. 9 -12) n Students will read, write, memorize, and perform monologues and scenes in class throughout the year. * Acting Class is recommended, but not required, for students who wish to audition for/participate in Theatre Workshop’s fall/spring plays and musicals. n. Children’s Theatre (1. 0 credits gr. 11 -12) n Performances are given approx. 3 times a year on Saturday mornings for children in the West Haven community *Students must have Acting class

Theatre Department *Members of our Theatre Department have the opportunity to travel internationally every other year. Members in the past have traveled to England, Ireland, Italy, and will be heading to Spain in 2014.
