REMINDERS • Water bottle – every day • Book bag – every day • Homework – Given out on a Monday, in on a Friday. (Spellings, sentences, maths and reading books) • PE Kit – Kept in school for the half term (Friday) • All clothes/bags to be clearly named. • Home reader – Changed every Monday • Library books-changed each week on a Monday • Woodland Adventure – Autumn 1 Wednesday pm.
HELPING YOUR CHILD AT HOME • Reading with your child as often as you can. • Encouraging your child to talk about what they are learning at school. • Encourage your child to write-anything! Praise but encourage your child to edit and proof read. • Spellings and times table rockstars. There will be a test in June about this, but the children will be very prepared and ready. Your role is crucial and really appreciated. So keep up the hard work!

DIGITAL LITERACY / E-SAFETY We will continue to take an active approach to educating your children on how to be safe online at school and at home. These two sites we particularly recommend to support your children at home: • www. net-aware. org. uk - A guide to the popular websites/apps that children are using. Gives suggested age groups and feedback from parents/children on these apps/ websites so you can choose if appropriate. • www. internetmatters. org - Specific help on how to set up internet controls at home. Guidance and articles for parents about keeping children safe online.
