Rules of the Room

“CLAWS” The CLAWS Program in the Eighth Grade is a Portfolio. No need to stress over it. Your sheet lays out the basics of the CLAWS Program. You will have one designated teacher be the CLAWS teacher. That teacher will take time to explain it more to you next week. It will be a great opportunity to show your teachers about your life besides school. You can involve parents and other adults to help with the portfolio. Teachers will give awards at Assemblies for the CLAWS work you submit.

The Science Binder Organization is a skill based on systematizing something. Binder maintenance depends on your level of the skill. It may still be a work in progress for you; that is okay. Miss Wieland has you set up a binder for three main reasons: 1. Study Resource 2. To separate the units 3. Keep for High School I do not do formal binder checks. However, you may elect to present a complete and organized binder each nine weeks for an extra grade (ex: 10/10). Four Main Tabs: • Unit 1 Technology • Units 2 -4 Earth Science • Units 5 & 6 Life Science • Unit 7 Physical Science Optional Tabs: • Tests • Vocabulary Put loose-leaf paper and graph paper into it as well!
