Even though vocabulary is important in learning English, the students are often faced with problems of vocabulary mastery. The teacher must be able to create teaching strategies that can attract the attention of students and make students able to remember vocabulary easily. Furthermore, one of the strategies in teaching vocabulary is by using games as teaching media. B. The Identification of the Problems – The students have lack of vocabulary mastery. – The teacher still uses conventional method to teach English. – Students are difficult to identify and understand the meaning of words. – Students have difficulty distinguishing written and oral forms because of their vocabulary limit. In teaching vocabulary by using anagram game, teacher can choose vocabulary, and then ask students to rearrange the letters of the original word and ask students to write down the meaning of the new word.
