Quality Assurance Evaluation of products: – Done in connection with Invitation to Bid – Supply Agreement with best offer – 1 -2 back-up suppliers Pre-qualification of suppliers of Vaccines, HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB products: – Products must be pre-qualified by WHO and listed on the WHO websitee 8
Quality Assurance Products received in the warehouse are inspected – Visual inspection – Documentation , Certificate of Analysis – Analysis performed on a random basis according to an annual plan - Predelivery Inspections 9
Quality Assurance • Local Procurement/Production – All local purchase of pharmceuticals requires apporval from UNICEF SD – Local production has been evaluated in countries like: Bangladesh, India, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Peru 10
