LAYOUT • The magazine cover is set up so that the image is the main attraction. • The column inch is on the bottom left of the magazine and instead of the scroll being at the top of the cover it has been placed vertically across the side of the magazine.

USE OF IMAGES • The use of image is very well done because people who are interested in this sort of magazine are skaters and the last thimg they want to be doing is reding chunks of information about skating, they prefer to see the action shots and have brief description of what is going on.

USE OF TEXT • As said in the previous slide the text is very minimal on this magazine cover because they have tailored it to their target audience of skater. • In the column inch they have used different sizes of text to have a variation on the cover and to make things that they want stand out from the rest these are most likely the more important things.

HOW THE COVER ATTRACTS ITS TARGET AUDIENCE • Skate slates target audience are skaters and long boarders • It does well to meet the needs of its target audience because it gives them what they are looking for and in this case it is the action and intensity of the sport. • They do this by minimalizing the amount of text they put in the magazine and stick to well taken photos that show off the sport.
