WHY CAVE DIVING? • Discover a new world hidden underground • Not necesserarly an « extreme » activity • Learn new diving techniques, useful for good diving practice in general • Many dive sites to discover in our local region • Possibilities for weekend outings such as Ardeche • Two schools – TDI (American origins), private instructor – FFESSM (European origins), Comission Auvergne Rhone Alps (AURA) Plongee Souterraine
WHO IS ALREADY CAVE DIVING? • 7 club members have already tried cave diving – 3 Baptemes (seance decouvert) – 2 Certified TDI « Cavern Diver » , beginner level – 2 Certified Autonomous PS 2 and TDI « Intro to Cave » • Specific techniques adapted to the environment – Working with Fil d’Ariane – Equipment configuration and redundancy – Develop proper trim and finning technique – Rigorous dive planning
OBJECTIVES of the SECTION Inform members about training courses Integrate activity into club scructure Organise an information evening Activity evening, exercises with Fil d’Ariane • Eventually organise outings for a small group members trained in cave diving techniques • •
