Bubble Gum stretch the word “What is the first sound in the word (bit)? ” Find the sound /b/ and put it on the first sound dot. “What is the next sound in the word (bit)? ” Find the sound /i/ and put it on the second sound dot. “What is the last sound in the word (bit)? ” Find the sound /t/ and put it on the third sound dot. Martian Talk the word bit (pointing to each letter while saying the sound) and then read the word. 9. Send the letters back home and get your marker ready.

What sound went out? What sound came in? 5. Change the old word (bat) to the new word (ban). 6. What sound went out? What sound came in? 7. Now it’s my turn to move the letters. Change one letter of the word. 8. What’s my new word? 9. Continue steps 7 & 8 for a few more words.
