GRADING �Point System �Homework-ranges 4 points-12 points depending on assignment, hw collected can be more points �Quiz-ranges from 40 points-75 points �Test-ranges from 80 points-100 points �Lab Report/Activity- 50 points -100 points (depending on the complexity of the lab/activity) �Project: 50 -100 points �Class Work/Participation/Organization:
Grading Timeline �HW: immediate feedback if checked and gone over in class, collected homework 1 -3 days depending on length of assignment �Quiz/Test: 2 days-1 week �Projects: 1 -2 weeks �Lab Reports: This takes me the longest to grade, I try for 2 -3 weeks but on occasion it could be longer for a full lab report, students do correct them before handing in so they get a sense of how they did.
On-Line Progress Report • Full detail progress reports will be available from the middle of each trimester, 30 th school day, until report cards are issued. • Progress Reports for 1 st Trimester - Oct 15 th • Rankbook update at the 30 – 45 – 60 th days of each Trimester however I tend to update each week if there is a grade to add. • Parents who would prefer a paper copy of their child’s Progress Report or Report Card should contact our guidance or main office with a written request.
