What is Hard and What Stood Out to Me What’s hard is to keep

What is Hard and What Stood Out to Me What’s hard is to keep up with everything at once. Being political and advocating takes a lot of time and effort as a social worker. However, each part of tenet 6 is important to think about as a social worker and while in our placements. What stood out to me the most was the section on social welfare because what my agency does overall is be aware of social justice and promoting the development of human beings and this social, economic, political, and cultural values.

Challenges to Social and Political Action and What Stands Out A challenge to social

Challenges to Social and Political Action and What Stands Out A challenge to social and political action is that my placements don’t have the staff and resources to push for political action. The staff have full caseloads already so they would have to work overtime to focus on more political action. Working overtime costs money, which is also a challenge as both my placements are nonprofits. What stands out to me from Tenet 6 is that social workers should be available in public emergencies because if we aren’t working on a macro level, it can be hard to pull ourselves out of our micro-focused worlds and respond to a macro level emergency.
