My last holidays 2014 Tuscany, Italy

Together with my family I visited Tuscany. This is a part of Italy located in the south-west. The region is full of hills, mountains and plains. Its is famous for grapes, olives and alabaster, which is used for art works in the small and beautiful city called Volterra.

Travelling through Tuscany you can find olives trees everywhere both black and green. This region is rich in vegetation: grapevine, lavender, sage and cypresses.

We were travelling with our friends from Germany in cars and caravans. We were staying in a camping. There were a lot of people from all over the world staying there. It was a great fun.

Apart from great fun in a pool each day, we visited many interesting places, such us: Florence, Piza, Vada, Livorno, Piombino, Casale Marittimo, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano and many more.

Italian Food Going to Italy we promised ourselves not to eat a pizza, but Italian pizza was so tasty that we were eating it almost every day! That was not the only food we had, ofcourse. We were also trying other meals, such as: spaghetti or frutti di mare, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables which taste much better there.

In the meantime we also visited Italian coast and beaches. But we were not excited about the sea so much due to small beaches, salty water and a dirty sand. The swimming pool was much better.

The trip back to Warsaw took us 20 hours. It was very tiring, but as always full of adventures. We were back home happily.
