Telephone Contact � DSS has allowed that CSP and RA services can be provided

Telephone Contact � DSS has allowed that CSP and RA services can be provided via telephone during the Coronavirus period. � Billing for CSP and RA telephone services cannot exceed 2 hours per day, and also must not exceed the weekly authorized amount. � CSP and RA service provided by phone must still be documented on the encounter note, and monthly notes are still required. � Please keep clinicians updated if services will no longer be provided face-to-face or if hours are not able to be fulfilled due to staffing shortages.

Boundaries � There has been an increase in complaints of staff taking money or things from clients. Please remember that boundaries within this population are crucial and should be an ongoing topic in supervision. � Reminder that CSP and RA staff must have access to clinical supervision and RA staff are still required to complete boundaries training. If your agency is not currently providing boundaries training, please contact ABH if you need assistance in development. � Please contact Ann Marie if you are having difficulty providing boundaries training or yearly required 6 hours of training for RA staff during the pandemic for assistance.

HIPAA and emails � Please remind your staff that client names cannot be included

HIPAA and emails � Please remind your staff that client names cannot be included in the subject line or body of non-secure emails. � We have received reports of multiple emails being received from provider agencies containing names of clients. � If your agency does not have the capability of sending a secure email, please utilize the Client ID number in the ABH portal for the communication. � Emails sent from ABH and DMHAS containing identifying client information will be sent securely.

Staffing availability � MFP and MHW clinicians are continuing to assess and enroll clients

Staffing availability � MFP and MHW clinicians are continuing to assess and enroll clients onto the Mental Health Waiver. � Please keep ABH updated as to your ability to accept new referrals for CSP and RA services. � Please be honest about your ability to provide the services that are being requested. � Please alert us if one of your staff has tested positive for COVID-19 and which clients they may have had contact. � Please keep ABH updated of any contact/supervisor changes.

Electronic Visit Verification � DSS has been approved for the funding request needed to implement EVV on the Mental Health Waiver � If you agency is not already utilizing Sandata, there will be workshops scheduled in the future to assist you. � We are in the process of beginning meetings with Sandata, DSS and Gainwell to discuss the implementation. If you are already using Sandata and have suggestions, please forward them to Ann Marie. � DSS is hoping to have EVV implemented by March 21, 2021
