Add to your bridge map Sunlight Zone • Seaweed which is actually a type of algae that lives in salt water habitats. • One adaptation of some seaweeds is that they have anchors (not literal) that can help them attach to rocks or pieces of driftwood. These anchors allow them to remain in one place even when strong waves could push them around. Challenge: Can you find another adaptation of seaweed ?

Add to your bridge map Twilight Zone • Octopus’ can be found in the twilight zone- with no sunlight. • One adaptation is they can camouflage, which is when an animal blends into its surroundings. They can change their own colour and texture to hide. • If they're attacked, they can use poisonous chemicals to hide from predators and kill their prey. As a last resort, they can even lose an arm and later regenerate, meaning regrow it! Challenge: Can you find another adaptation of an octopus ?
