PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS We use the Present Perfect Continuous to talk about: A repeated or continuous activity that started in the past and hasn’t been finished. I’ve been going everywhere by bike for the last two months. An activity from the recent past which has consequences in the present. (The consequences are usually visible. ) He’s been doing his science project all night. (That’s why he’s so sleepy now)

FORM: SUBJECT + HAVE/HAS + BEEN + ING I have been waiting. You have been waiting. He /she / it has been waiting. We have been waiting. You have been waiting. They have been waiting.

FORM: SUBJECT + HAVE/HAS + BEEN + ING I haven’t been waiting. You haven’t been waiting. He /she / it hasn’t been waiting. We haven’t been waiting. You haven’t been waiting. They haven’t been waiting.

Have I been waiting? Have you been waiting? Has he / she / it been waiting? Have we been waiting? Have you been waiting? Have they been waiting?
