Student Mobility • Appr. 12% of Marburg‘s student population are from abroad Exchange: • Incomings – 298 Exchange students, 73 of those non-EU (Winter 2008/09 + Summer 2009) • Outgoings – 540 Marburg students went abroad, 92 of these to non-EU institutions (WS 08/09 + SS 09)
Special Study and Academic Programs • International Undergraduate Study Program (IUSP) – Fee-paid semester program for students with little or no German – Offers German courses and seminars from the regular catalogue • International Summer University (ISU) – 4 -week summer program with German language classes and subject courses • Preparation seminars for Fulbright scholarship holders • Study Programs as preparatory course with classes at the „Studienkolleg“ – For partners from VR China, Taiwan, USA, Canada
Research Mobility • For Marburg researchers: counselling, assistance with applications • For international researchers: assistance with organisational aspects of Ph. D projects • Support for special scholarship programs for international Ph. D students (Yousef Jameel, Iraqi government)
Welcome Centre • Service institution for international researchers and other university-related professionals who seek advice and support regarding their stay at Philipps-Universität
