IMMA proposal IMMA proposes to add following text to the Technical Report: ‘EPPR has thoroughly discussed about humidity requirements in the test room (§ 3. 1), based on the Indian proposal, and has decided to keep the current GTR procedure, which is to measure humidity and to apply correction factors for the NOx calculation. This procedure is also aligned with the Euro 5 legislation on this matter. ’ Consequently, IMMA proposes following amendments in para. 3. 1 of GTR text: 3. 1. Test room The test room with the chassis dynamometer and the gas sample collection device shall have a temperature of 25± 5 °C. The room temperature shall be measured in the vicinity of the vehicle cooling blower (fan) before and after the type I test. [ The absolute humidity (Ha) of either the air in the test cell or the intake air of the engine shall be measured and, recorded and correction factors shall be applied. 3. 1. 1 If the absolute humidity is within 5. 5 ≤ Ha ≤ 12. 2 (g H 2 O/kg dry air), the test is considered valid and NOx values to be corrected using equation B. 2. 39. 3. 1. 2 If the absolute humidity is outside the above range, the test shall be considered invaid, and vehicle shall be re-tested with absolute humidity within the above range. ]
