How can I write a great project conclusion?

Your options Basically/ you have to write an overall conclusion to the big question

Your options Basically/ you have to write an overall conclusion to the big question “why should we remember the Holocaust? ”. This powerpoint has three suggestions, so choose which one you prefer – basic, intermediate, or advanced. You could also combine some of these or use your own format. HOWEVER YOU DECIDE TO WRITE YOUR CONCLUSION, PLEASE SUBMIT IT TO YOUR TEACHER. You should send it to your normal class teacher either by: 1) Email a word document as an attachment to H Burkitt / M Brooks / P Johnston / or E Robinson 2) Or use the assignment on Microsoft Teams / Forms to submit it (see link on moodle) ***The deadline is MONDAY 15 TH JUNE***

How do I write a good conclusion? Not like this! I found out that

How do I write a good conclusion? Not like this! I found out that the Holocaust was really bad and cruel and it was really horrible and lots of Jews were treated really badly. I found it really interesting and I hoped you enjoyed reading my project. Love from Tamsin in Year 9 xxx

Basic Option Have a read of the mini-conclusions in each section of your project.

Basic Option Have a read of the mini-conclusions in each section of your project. Which ones do you remember the most? Choose about 5. Write them together in a conclusion paragraph which starts with “We should remember the Holocaust because…” For example, if one of the sections that you remember is the laws that were passed against the Jews, you might start off by saying: “We should remember the Holocaust because laws were passed against Jews by the Nazi government, depriving them of their rights and German citizens and treating them differently. Also…”

Intermediate Option You don’t actually have to answer these questions. They are prompts to

Intermediate Option You don’t actually have to answer these questions. They are prompts to help you to think about what might go into your conclusion. Perhaps you could pick a few of them to help you write a paragraph or two. • What was the thing you remember most about the Holocaust whilst you have been doing your project. Why? • How important is it to remember the victims of the Holocaust? Why? • What happens when good people stay silent and do nothing? • How can we make sure that governments cannot just make their own laws? • Is important to make sure that all people are treated equally? • What are the consequences of prejudice, racism, and sterotyping? • Should all Year 9 s be taught about the Holocaust? Why? • Anything else? What is the most important reason we should remember?

Advanced Option As well as using the prompts on the intermediate slide to write

Advanced Option As well as using the prompts on the intermediate slide to write one paragraph, you could write another one on genocide (killing a whole race of people). In other words, we should remember the Holocaust and how it started because something similar could happen again.
