Schedule for the Day of the Trip: - - Students need to be at

Schedule for the Day of the Trip: - - Students need to be at Hope Middle School at 8: 30 am. We will be leaving Hope at 8: 45 am. We will stop at the Welcome Center in Clare for a quick bathroom break and stretch. Students will eat their lunch on the bus as we are driving. We will arrive in Traverse City around 12: 30 to drop off the first group. We will continue to Suttons Bay to drop off the second group. Students will board the ships at 1: 15 and get off the ships around 5: 15 pm. Students will eat their sack dinners on the way home. We will head back to Hope around 5: 30. We should be at Hope around 9: 30 pm.

Chaperones: Amount of space: Each ship can host 3 - 5 chaperones: - If you are interested in chaperoning you need to contact your child’s teacher. - It is a first come, first serve basis. You will not pay until we contact you. - Chaperones will need to drive separately. Hopefully, you will car pool to save on money - The cost for each chaperone is $30. If there is room on the bus, a chaperone may pay $60 and ride the bus. - No refunds are given. If you need to cancel, then you need to find someone to fill your spot or your child’s spot.

A sack lunch and a sack dinner, A mini-cooler, if you have one, To dress in layers, A bag with extra layers of clothing, Camera (at their own risk), Things to do on the bus ride (at their own risk), Cell phones to contact parents (if you have one), Medication in the proper container along with written instructions on how/when to take. Your student’s teacher will hold this medication until we get back to Hope,

Motion Sickness: If your student has ever experienced motion sickness, please contact your family

Motion Sickness: If your student has ever experienced motion sickness, please contact your family physician for a recommendation for appropriate medication for motion sickness. We will be sailing in the harbor where the water is calmer but some kids experience motion sickness.
