Wrong Direction - Wanted to turn ready made objects in to lights - Conceptually all wrong, there was nothing behind it and had no link to previous work. - I do not enjoy mould making - Tutorial with Claire opened up my eyes and made me look back on the meaning behind my work. - What I needed to do was go back on the wheel and make and hand build to get my correct ideas going.

(why do I do ceramics? ) The light is not the focus it can be an enhancement Scale, ambition and idea Site specific created for a space Problem solving how will I construct the piece due to scale and quantity Use of repetition Theatrical nature Wow factor Provide and experience to the viewer Using all available space Interaction between audience and piece Throwing and coiling are my favourite techniques Allow the viewer to visually and physically move around the piece to become immersed in the piece and question how the piece was composed? Use of colour to add another dimension and also enhance the experience. Installation based, large spaces not about the sale of the piece but about the experience that the piece provides in a space. Use of functional shapes Form is key, formalist approach - angles and shape of whole piece is important

Personal experiences used to conceptualise my work. -anxiety/ loss/ counselling - What advice was I given to help during my time of need. The one line that stood out to me was that “Time is a great healer”. - My personal OCD is about repetition. So instead of wasting my obsessive actions and thoughts on nothing lets use the repetition approach for something useful and use it in a practical manner in my work. One to enhance work and two to help me personally. So time and repetition are the two words that I want to show in my work. Now I have to do that whilst integrating personal premise in my work.

How to represent time and repetition through form and structure? -Time represented hour glass shape -form represented through individual pots has the are stacked it represents a new from specifically in 2 nd design -repetition shown by repeating the pots from the hanging and then the stacked -interactivity will be presented through the centre ball being from porcelain with a light inside. The viewer can change the colour of the light. (This intern represents healing through interaction) giving viewer a purpose to the piece. - Large scale coming from the roof all the way to the floor audience get a full walk around exploring all angles of the work creating a journey.

Surface quality - I want to use glazes that run to show movement as movement is a representation of time. Glazes running through all pots. - Enhances look of pots - Giving a quality finish - Adds another dimension for viewer to understand. - Professional complete look. - Potential ash glazes

Form and structure experimentation -hour glass shape in mind I have been throwing with different functional forms, to experimenting with the composition of the shape. - This is a macquette to help with the experimentation of the armature how it will look like in full scale. - Learnt from last year that the supporting structure needs to be considered carefully as it is vital in creating the experience - I have been throwing to improve my ability to make a repeated form. This is needed to create the symmetry of the hour glass.

Enhancement • The centre ball will be made from porcelain • It will have a light inside • This will contain a remote which colour of the lights can be changed letting the audience interact with the piece. • The centre pod is the calming point of the large expansion of the structure around it. • Brings you back into the room.
