ESS a key provider of public open data Open data policy: basis is the Directive 2003/98/EC on the reuse of Public Sector Information NSIs and Eurostat are key contributors to the national and EU open data portals (1. statistics, 2. geospatial) Statistics is also one of the high value datasets domain listed by G 8 Open Data Charter Top data domains consulted by the EU 28+ countries on European Data Portal
