l Date of incorporation: 24 th March 2006 l Board of directors: President: Cvetka Skale Members: Zlata Felc, Silva Hoyer, Andreja Tekauc-Golob, Ana Španinger, Jasna Baliban, Rada Hriberšek l Number of members: 95 (on 31 th July 2009) l Amount of membership – fee: 21, 00 € / year l Condition of admission: Member can become a person who is engaged or has a wish to engage in those activities of the association.

l Membership in the Association is voluntary and under the same conditions. Anyone who wants to become a member of the Management Board has to submit the accession statement which expresses the desire to become a member of the Association and undertake to participate actively and in accordance with the statute and other acts and regulations, work in the organs of the Association and to regularly pay the membership and the others, with programe accepted obligations. Under the same conditions can a member become a foreigner.

l Benefits for members - we organize professional education, where the IBCLCs can obtain CERPs necessary for recertification, - we inform our members of ongoing developments on field of breastfeeding. l and non-members - we inform the public from the benefits of breastfeeding to health fairs, at information stands in downtowns, participate in special radio and television broadcasts, which promotes healthy lifestyle, we write articles about the benefits of breastfeeding in newspapers and magazines …

Membership to other organisations l In 2006 our Association has became member of VELB. l The members of our Association are active in related organizations: - National Breastfeeding Committee UNICEF Slovenia, - Slovene Medical Association, - Slovene Association for midwives and health care.

The way of communication with the members l By statute, Assembly members endorse the work program for the current year. Members of the Board carrie out the tasks. l About the work of the Association we inform members: - By regular e-mail, - Publish a newsletter Lactation, - Each year at the International breastfeeding week, we prepare a special brochure (destined also for general public), - We inform the members and the public about our work by media (radio, television, newspapers, journals).
