You are significant / special. You are Created by God … in the image of God. - Genesis 1: 26 -27 You are Saved by God … in Christ. - Titus 3: 4 -5 You are “A Work” of God … in the Holy Spirit - Ephesians 2: 8 -10 You were created to serve God & Others.

1 Peter 4: 10 -11 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. … so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

This “Discovering My SHAPE & MINISTRY has 2 goals. • Discover your SHAPE. • Discover your Work Ministry, Home Ministry, Church Ministry, World Ministry.

Your SHAPE is your: • S = Spiritual Gifts – God given gifts to build up God’s people. • H = Heart - Your desires and passions in life. • A = Abilities – The things you are able to do well or able to develop. • P = Personality – The way you act, feel, and think. • E = Experiences – Your unique history of past life events.

I need to discover My SHAPE and Ministry 1. So I can bring GLORY to God! 2. So I know how to best serve God and others in my work place, home, church, and world. 3. So I can correctly invest my life – Not Waste it. • Some of us are not Investing … not Investing in God’s Kingdom.

What is a Spirtual Gift? It is: • A divine, supernatural “grace gift” given by God to enable Christians to serve others and build up the church. • A Special Tool for ministry.

With our HEART / PASSION Sometimes we need to: • Surrender – Stop – Give it to God. • Surge – Go Forward – Press on

King David 1 1 Chronicles 21: 1 -2 1 Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel. 2 So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops, “Go and count the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are. ” 1 Chronicles 21: 8 8 Then David said to God, “I have sinned greatly by doing this. Now, I beg you, take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish thing. ” Because of his Sin the Lord gave him 3 consequences (choices): 21: 12 “three years of famine, three months of being swept away[a] before your enemies, … or three days of the sword of the LORD—days of plague in the land, ” David chose to “fall into the hands of the LORD. ” – Plague! 21: 14 So the LORD sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead.

King David 2 2 Sam 6: 14 -16; 20 -22 14 David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the LORD with all his might, 15 while he and the entire house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouts and the sound of trumpets. 16 As the ark of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, she despised him in her heart. 20 When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, "How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, disrobing in the sight of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!” 21 David said to Michal, "…. I will celebrate before the LORD. 22 I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes…. ”

As we discover our Heart – our desires and passions. We need to ask God 4 questions: • Am I acting in Love? • Is Jesus the Lord and King of my desires and passions? • Do I need to surrender this desire and passion? • Or Do I need to surge forward?

Questions for You: • What is your Heart – your passions and desires? Are Love and Jesus driving these passions and desires? Why and Why Not?
