What is TRL ? • TRL is a scale to sort a technology in level of « achievement » or readiness • TRL was created by NASA in the 80’s to help the decision makers in a common understanding of the level of maturity of a technology • TRL is largely used in space and aeronautic sectors but also in other industry such as oil industry • TRL is also used as reference for public funding, by instance Canadian government • TRL moved also for manufacturing readiness level (MRL 11/06/2014 Topos proposal done by JPh.
