Notifications Project Scope 8
Notifications project – Strategic questions • Why do we collect statutory notifications? • Are we collecting the right information? • How do we currently collect the notifications and who needs the information? 9
Findings and Recommendations Ø Current on-line and word forms are not aligned Ø The current forms are unclear or confusing Ø The forms asked for information that CQC already holds Ø Some questions may be misinterpreted 10
Key Findings/Recommendations Legislations, Regulations & Guidance • Finding: Unclear guidance results in under/over reporting of notifications. Notifications process flows • Finding: Only certain type of Providers can get access to the online Portal forms. Currently only registered provider with 15 locations or fewer locations have access to the Portal. • Finding: The current process flow for notifications results in delays and human handling may result in a skewed categorisation. 11
