• A friction-reducing device is used for Moving the Person to a Stretcher transfers to and from stretchers. At least two or three staff are needed for a safe transfer. • If the person weighs less than 200 pounds—a friction-reducing device or lateral transfer device with a slide board is used. • If the person weighs more than 200 pounds—a mechanical ceiling lift with a supine sling, a mechanical lateral transfer device, or an inflatable device is used.
