Director Authorization (18. 13. 01) Refers to the City Clerk for typographical and punctuation errors, specifies that the Director notify the Planning Commission and City Council if minor UDC adjustments are made, removes the provision that requires notification in a regular meeting. 2. Vacation of Emergency Access, Utility, and Non-Constructed Access Easements (18. 17. 16. 03) Allows Director ability to vacate unnecessary easements that were created on a subdivision plat through a notice of vacation. 3. Zoning Board of Adjustment (18. 13. 02. 03) Allows Director to forward a variance directly to the ZBA, clarifies that the hearing body determination must be made prior to noticing the hearing. 4

D) Allows the Director to temporarily waive UDC requirements under emergency situations after consultation with City Manager. 2. Adjusts setbacks to be similar to allowances in the previous Code. Correlates the size of an accessory structure with the lot size, allowing 10% of the lot area as the size limitation for the structure. 4. Home Child Care, Day Care Center and Place of Assembly (18. 02. 06. 03, 18. 19. 03, 18. 02. 03. 06, 18. 05. 03. E, 18. 02. 04. 07) Simplifies terms for child care and combines large and small day care centers into one category. Amends the use standards for places of assembly relating to conversion to a day care center. Establishes compatibility standards with limitations on noise and outdoor activity in residential zones. Modifies provisions for home child care to require a conditional use process for large child care homes in low and medium density residential districts. 6

Outdoor Storage, Storage Yards, and Salvage Yards (18. 19. 03, 18. 04. 07. 06, 18. 02. 04. 08, 18. 04. 06. 04) Removes the limitation on square footage of outdoor storage in the Industrial zone and clarifies the distinction between outdoor storage and a storage yard. Adjusts screening standards and outlines locational aspects of outdoor storage adjacent to state highways and arterial roads. Removes duplicative provisions and references the proposed Nuisance Code. Removes restrictions on the storage of collector’s vehicles. 6. Applicability of Use Standards (18. 02. 04. 01) Clarifies and limits the ability to modify a use standard that either prohibits a particular use or requires compliance with state or federal regulations. Requires an expanded notification radius if the adaptable use process is used to modify a separation distance from a residential use or residential zone boundary. 7. Using the Housing Palette Allows the Director to establish setbacks for existing neighborhoods based on the setback pattern of the subdivision. 7
